Paintless Dent Repair in Duncanville & DFW

Dents removed from behind the panel, with your original factory paint left untouched. Free inspection, written quote, and an honest answer when PDR isn't the right repair.

How paintless dent repair actually works

A dent is metal that has been pushed out of shape, not metal that has been removed. PDR takes advantage of that. We get behind the panel — through a window channel, a tail light opening, a wheel well, or by removing trim — and use rods and specialized tips to push the low spot back up in small, controlled increments while reading the panel's reflection under a striped light board.

That reflection is the whole craft. It shows the high and low areas the naked eye can't see, so the technician can work the metal back to the original contour instead of just making the dent smaller. When the reflection runs straight again, the repair is done. Nothing is filled, sanded, primed or sprayed.

The result is a panel that carries its original factory paint, with the factory's corrosion protection and thickness intact. That matters later: repainted panels show up on inspections and appraisals, and they can drift in color as the surrounding paint ages.

What drives the price of your repair

We quote in writing after looking at the vehicle, because four things move the number and none of them are visible from a phone description alone:

  • Dent count. One ding is a single repair. Twenty hail dents across a roof is hours of methodical work.
  • Depth and sharpness. A shallow round dent releases quickly. A sharp crease has stretched metal that must be relaxed in stages.
  • Location. Dents on a body line, panel edge or double-layer brace are harder than the same dent in the middle of an open panel.
  • Access. If we have to pull an interior panel, headliner or tail light to reach the back side, that labor is part of the job.

Inspection is free and there's no obligation. If the damage isn't a PDR candidate, we say so rather than selling you a repair that won't hold.

Dents we take, and dents we turn away

Good candidates: door dings from parking lots, shopping-cart impacts, hail dents, shallow dents from a ball or bike, and most round dents on steel panels where the paint is unbroken.

Case by case: creases, body-line dents, aluminum panels, and dents over a brace or double-layer area. Many of these repair fully; some improve substantially without reaching 100%. We show you the panel under the light board and describe the realistic outcome before you commit.

Not PDR: cracked, chipped or flaking paint at the dent, torn or punctured metal, previous filler in the area, and rust. Those need conventional body and refinish work, and we'll point you toward it instead of taking the job.

What a visit to the shop looks like

Book a time online or call, and bring the car to our Duncanville shop where the lighting and tooling are set up properly. We inspect the damage with you, mark the dents, and write the quote. Most single-dent repairs can be done while you wait or the same day.

If the damage came from hail and you plan to use comprehensive coverage, we handle most of the claim legwork from there — see the hail damage repair page for how that process runs.

Not sure whether your damage is a candidate? Send a photo or call 214-882-2102 and we'll tell you straight — including when conventional body work is the better call.

FAQ

Paintless dent repair questions

Straight answers on cost drivers, turnaround, insurance and what PDR can and can't fix.

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a method of reshaping a dented panel from behind using specialized rods, tips and reflective lighting. The metal is worked back to its original contour, so no filler is used and the panel is never sanded or resprayed. The paint that came from the factory stays on your car.
